Morus alba, also known as White Mulberry, is a fast-growing tree that grows up to 10-20 m in height and belongs to the Moraceae family.

 

Chemistry

The plant Morus alba contains abundant phytochemicals, which are phenolic acids, flavonoids, flavonols, anthocyanins, macronutrients, vitamins, minerals, and volatile aromatic compounds. Especially it leaves has significant amounts of 1-Deoxynojirimycin, quercetin and rutin.
